A collection of original oil paintings inspired by the architectural and design movement of the 1920s and 1930s. These pieces aim to reinterpret the principles of Art Deco through colour and shape – in tribute to the buildings, furniture and art that still stand the test of time.

Inseparable Part
In his distinctive minimalistic style Bakas explores the dynamics involved in the process of simple building blocks creating a meaningful whole. He is inspired by a human scene of underlying tension which he chooses to creatively reinterpret in an orderly structure of geometry and colour.
Union
Inspired by Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus”, the collection has been developed around the notion of togetherness, space and connection. Bakas remains true to his primary sources of inspiration; architecture and interiors to fuse a classic work of art with contemporary design.
About Bakas
Drawing inspiration from graphic, product and architectural design, Bakas brings colour and geometry to the fore and he explores how they interact and define the experience of people.
