Studying the idiosyncrasies of the colour palette used on Felix Vallotton’s famous painting “The Visit” (1899), Bakas chooses to reduce the underlying tension to an orderly assembly of shapes and thoughtfully mixed families of blue. He uses the integrity of his painted building blocks to interpret the inner thoughts and desire built in to humans.
