“I enjoy drawing human forms, either portraits with charcoal or full model figures with acrylic paint. I was interested in drawing since I was a little child and learned on my own. Later on I took various lessons. I definitely want to study art more thoroughly in the future!”

“My ART, my LIFE, my PASSION. My whole art borns from emotions and energy. I love to take a look inside people’s spirits and show it on my drawings. I’m a graduate of Polish Art School, I used to draw & paint since I remember. Usually I use charcoal, oil pastels or oil on canvas.”

“An architect, furniture designer and self taught artist, I’m from New Delhi, India. Art has been an inseparable part of my soul, I began painting at the age of 5. I love creating artworks based on naked figure studies and portraits, I am drawn towards the natural naked true self we all have within us. I’ve experimented with a variety of mediums, my favorite being charcoal and watercolor for the ease of carrying it anywhere and making quick figure studies. My favorite artists are Daniel Maidman, Michael Mentler, Richard Ehiemua and Casey Baugh.”
“I am proudly self taught and started drawing at an early age. Encouraging parents fueled my need for expression. Once in high school I excelled in art and dreamed of continued studies in college. After graduating I married and went to work helping raise my three children. Working for a marketing firm I drew a concept design that achieved national recognition. After that I continued to draw and paint until the eighties when I joined and art league and entered a national juried show which my work was accepted. Encouraged by my family and friends I decided to enter shows and fairs winning many entries and turning professional in the eighties I sold many of my creations. Most of my ideas for my art come from dreams.
Pen, pencil and acrylic are my preferred mediums but I’ve tried them all. I love the creative process and am continually creating fantasy landscapes and seascapes or space concepts in my home studio. Currently retired I’m still working on my art daily”.
“I got into drawing and painting back in 2016, when I was 17. I had no former training in art and started from scratch. I studied Art and Design in my A levels, but worked mostly on my own. I have sold a few pieces and have a few available as well, both on my instagram and facebook, but since I’m particularly fascinated by hyper and photo realism, the rate at which I produce my work can be low”.
“I am a homeschooling mother, wife, and self-taught artist. My three young children are my world, and my paintings are inspired by lots of light and colorful scenes. After surviving a dark childhood, I now spend time creating to relieve stress and focus on positivity. I’m drawn to realism, surrealism, and fantasy art styles which allow bold, bright creations that my children and I can enjoy together. My art is now in homes from Alaska to England, and I’m grateful for offers in local galleries for shows next year. Thank you for the opportunity to share my art on CHROMA”.
This is not an easy question to answer. Eggs can make a big difference when you make an omellete or when you bake a cake. But art; how is it even possible a tub of eggs to make a difference to your art? Well, it does play an important role – a tab of 15 eggs can actually make you create one of the most sophisticated and beautiful artworks you have ever made. The recipe is very simple.
SoNas is an artistic duo of friends who discovered painting in 2017. We live in south of France -Marseille- and we are both self taught. We enjoy the freedom and the emotions which art offers. We love sharing our works and learn from each other. We paint with acrylic; exploring abstract art and sometimes kids illustration. We love art; exactly as you do! Our art is inspired by the world around us, our kids, people, colors, simple things in life and emotions. This is our beginning in the artistic world and it is great and fun!

THE ARTIST SAYS:
“Gemma Hare is a fine artist residing in Aberdeen.
After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2005 with a BA (hons) in Drawing and Painting, Gemma became a primary teacher, which has led her to work with children in different school settings as well as facilitating art workshops.
Her work is inspired by everyday objects and experiences, such as plants, people, places and text. She enjoys experimenting with different media and processes.
Gemma also incorporates printmaking and stencilling techniques to build multi – layered pieces.
Gemma’s current series has a new focus. Her work looks at bee preservation, through the use of her layering and colour composition, with a painted bee as a focal point. These pieces also incorporate some text, relating to the issue of bee decline and its consequences.
Gemma has been creating work again since November 2018 and is beginning to experiment with creating print editions, as well as one off originals. She has taken part in recent exhibitions in Aberdeenshire and Edinburgh so far. Gemma is happy to accept commissions and discuss her work with others.“
